Information for Licensees
All Licensees are responsible for understanding the content of their application and the terms and conditions of their water licence. Licensed activities are to be carried out as described in the application and the licence. Reasons for Decisions are issued with every water licence and provide further background information and rationale for the Board’s licensing decisions. If a Licensee requires assistance in understanding and interpreting water licence terms and conditions, clarification may be obtained from Inspections Officers (please see the table below).
If any aspect of the project that is authorized in the licence changes, please contact an Inspections Officer to determine if a licence amendment is required.
All water licences have reporting requirements. It is the Licensee’s responsibility to be familiar with and follow these requirements.
Annual water use fees may apply. Licensees will receive annual invoices for water use fees and options for payment. It is the Licensee’s responsibility to ensure payments are made on time. If you have any questions, please contact the Yukon Water Board Secretariat.
